Hello hello,

Been some time since I've updated my blog. I've been everywhere and now I'm back, well almost. I spent most of October traveling to Greece and Turkey. It was an amazing trip, and I have 57 GB of photos that I need to process and post. Ahh!

Initially it was a two week trip through the islands of Greece with a stop in Turkey, touring all the major archaeological sites of ancient Greek and Minoan civilizations. But never one to just relax and take a vacation, I turned it into a work trip as well.

I arrived in Athens four days early and booked with 11 models. Only had time to work with three; models Sheila Baum, Lina Ulrich and Sarah D. If it weren't for the two fellows that had their pants all the way down while openly masturbating a few feet away from me and Sheila, I would say it was a complete success. However, when five more men gathered round I knew it was time to pack up and get out. Must have picked a bad location in Athens, luckily nothing besides being a little scared and very creeped out happened. Should have done a 360 panorama of the scene, but I didn't want to engage my attentive audience of masturbating bandits.

On to my seafaring voyage, it was very strange and exciting to be living on a boat for two weeks, constantly moving with no solid ground. Each day brought a new island to explore with only enough time to make a mad dash back to the boat before it left you behind. The tour guides were amazing and taught so much about language, history, gender roles and the overlaps between today's religions and the ancient myths.

On the boat I picked up some nasty respiratory infection, and being stubborn waited until it was really bad (4 weeks of fighting it with vitamins) before seeing a doctor. Right now I'm catching up on all the TV I missed, taking mounds of antibiotics, sipping codeine, resting and impatiently waiting to feel well enough to be inspired by all that was seen.

Here's a few snapshots from my iPhone:

I posted this all to give it some space and let it breathe. Come back, keep trying. I can't see the forest for the trees at this point. If I continue to go this direction, then I need to render the fur better. A lot of times I get to this point and then just give up or get distracted and don't come back. I would like to finish this one though.

I love when other artists open up on their process and show their sketches! Here it is, all out in the open. Good, bad or otherwise.
